Fire Cleanup in Dallas
La Catrina is one of the most well-recognized faces of The Day of the Dead across Dallas and many other cities with significant cultural heritage from Mexico. Despite this, very few people know about the history and significance of that oft-seen skeletonized woman or much of the holiday's culture at all. Ramblers Media Production hopes to change that this year by hosting a casual, fun, and educational party to celebrate La Catrina and everything she stands for.
This 21-and-over event starts at 6 PM on January 23rd and continues into the early morning of the next day. Expect live music, great food, unique vendors, and many activities in which to partake. Professional face painting in the Day of the Dead theme will be available to anyone interested, and other artists plan to both create and sell their projects throughout the night. Tickets cost $20 per person, but if you act fast, you might be able to score an early bird special for half-price admission.
